|Hex4f: A Transformers Scout Class action figure called 'Undermine'. The mines in the Battle of Messines comprised a series of underground explosive charges, secretly planted by British tunnelling units. The mines were detonated at the start of the Battle of Messines (7–14 June 1917), creating 19 large craters (some still visible today). The joint explosion of the mines at Messines ranks among the largest non-nuclear explosions of all time. The evening before the attack, General Sir Charles Harington, Chief of Staff of the Second Army (General Sir Herbert Plumer), remarked to the press, "Gentlemen, I don’t know whether we are going to make history tomorrow, but at any rate we shall change geography".The Battle of Messines marked the zenith of mine warfare. The solution to the Minesweeper puzzle on Page 7 seems to reference Harington's remark.

|Unique: The Great Comet of 1769 over Nuremberg. C/1769 P1 (Messier) is a long-period comet that was visible to the naked eye at its last apparition in 1769. Because of its outstanding brightness it is called a great comet. Napoleon Bonaparte was born on 15 August 1769, one week after Messier’s first sighting of the Great Comet of 1769. Messier self-published a booklet (memoir) near the end of his life, connecting the comet's discovery to the birth of Napoleon.
